from fundly: people are 10 times more likely to make a gift when asked by a friend, than when asked by an organization, and these gifts are roughly 50% bigger.

(NOTE: my concept removes the asking equation and puts giving on autopilot)

Fundly + Facebook = Millions in Micro-Donations for Campaigns

mGive
mGive allows your organization to raise money through text message donations. Jolkona Foundation
Jolkona Foundation is a new non-profit organization that uses technology to engage people in giving back, with a special focus on young people as potential donors.   Unlike other non-profits that use technology to help raise funds for other causes, Jolkona Foundation focuses on giving users a one-to-one impact and an individualized proof of impact that you can see.  Moreover, Jolkona Foundation sends 100% of pledged donations directly to the partner non-profits.  Jolkona gives donors choices, convenience, and the ability to see the impact one can have on the world with various “microdonation” options between starting at $5.00 listed on the website.

Hi Donell

Thanks for the note.

Microdonations is a good idea.

I thought there was already a company doing that, and I thought maybe they were in austin.

i expected a more enthusiastic response from him...but given that he doesnt know me from adam - i should be glad he even bothered to respond.

aw shit man.

you can be a witness on this one to see what god gone do!

so now i have a name for the concept - micro donations. this guy is doing it - but nowhere near what im thinking:

https://www.changeroundup.com

my spin on the concept:

- a platform that allows anyone accepting e-commerce to allow their customers to round up their purchases (from amazon.com on down to anyone taking paypal)

- a platform that gives all credit/debit card issuers the ability for their customers to opt in for purchase round up

- an off line system that allows brick and mortar stores to give their customers the option to round up their purchases

im not gone run off down the trail half cocked and super hyped like we normally do. i woke up about an hour ago and ideas and inspiration have been bombarding me.

#pumpmybrakes.

spareadime.com is available for $2,000. ive talked to god and ive said - if this is for me to do - then im going to need you to super-naturally provide me with an unequivocal lump sum of $2,001 dollars as a divine co-sign.

stay tuned.
